๐ Mono Sebae Monodactylus sebae
Black Bars โข Brackish โข Hardy Schooling Fish
๐ The Mono Sebae (Monodactylus sebae), also called the Black-Barred Mono, is a striking brackish water schooling fish with a tall, disc-like body marked by bold black vertical bars. Closely related to the Silver Moony (Monodactylus argenteus), this species is equally popular among brackish aquarists.
Juveniles tolerate freshwater for short periods, but like other Monos, adults require brackish to marine conditions for long-term health. Peaceful yet active, Mono Sebae thrive in groups and make excellent companions for Scats, Archerfish, and Silver Monos in large aquariums.
