📋 Echinodorus Small Bear gives you the classic sword-plant look in a smaller, neater package. Its new leaves unfurl in warm red-brown tones and mature to a rich green, so the plant always shows a natural two-tone effect. It stays more compact than most sword plants, making it the perfect centrepiece for mid-sized tanks and detailed aquascapes where a full-sized sword would take over.
It's a hardy, easy-going plant. Set it in a nutrient-rich substrate, add root tabs, and it grows steadily into a dense, full rosette with only the odd old leaf to trim away. Good lighting brings out the warm colour of its new growth.
It's a freshwater plant, suited to freshwater aquariums.
