🐟🦷 Harlequin Tusk Choerodon fasciatus
Bold Stripes • Tusk Teeth • FOWLR Showstopper

The Harlequin Tusk (Choerodon fasciatus) is a truly striking saltwater fish known for its vivid blue, orange, and white stripes and signature tusk-like teeth. Native to the Indo-Pacific, it thrives in larger fish-only or FOWLR (Fish-Only With Live Rock) setups and makes a bold centerpiece fish.

This wrasse is semi-aggressive but generally compatible with other large, assertive tank mates. Its tusks are used to crush the shells of crustaceans, so it is not suitable for tanks with shrimp, crabs, or snails.

A healthy Harlequin Tusk needs ample swimming space, hiding places, and a high-protein carnivorous diet. While it’s not a reef-safe option, it brings incredible personality, intelligence, and motion to the right setup.
