📋 Species Description – Albino Pygmy Corydoras
The Albino Pygmy Corydoras (Corydoras pygmaeus var. “Albino”) is a striking, selectively bred form of the beloved Pygmy Cory, known for its white to pale pink body and bright red eyes. Despite its color variation, it maintains the same active and peaceful behavior as the wild type.
This tiny schooling catfish is a perfect choice for nano or planted tanks, constantly exploring and gently sifting the substrate. They’re social fish that display their best behavior and color in groups of 8 or more.
Like all Corydoras, this albino form is sensitive to rough substrates, so a fine sand bottom and gentle filtration are key for long-term health and barbels in perfect condition.
