#Care tips:

  • Give them a wide tank with plenty of open floor; 1,000L suits these rays well.

  • Use a fine, soft sand bottom or a bare floor, with no sharp décor.

  • Run strong filtration with regular large water changes to keep the water clean.

  • Keep the temperature at 24-29°C; in hot climates, fans or a chiller help hold it steady.

  • Feed meaty foods such as earthworms, shell-on prawns, mussels and sinking carnivore pellets.

  • Pair with peaceful mid-to-upper level fish, and work with care around the tail barb during maintenance.
