📋 Boeseman's Rainbowfish – Short Body, also known as the Balloon Boesemani, is a selectively bred form of the classic Boeseman's Rainbowfish, with a compact, rounded body that gives it a charming, chubby look. It keeps the famous two-tone colour, deep violet-blue across the front blending into fiery orange-yellow at the back, packed into a smaller, characterful fish.
It's a captive-bred form of a species from the Ayamaru Lakes of West Papua, Indonesia. Every Short Body Boeseman's Rainbowfish we ship is feeding well.
This is a lively, peaceful shoaling fish that bustles through the middle and upper levels of the tank, and it looks its best in a group of six or more. Its compact size makes it a great choice for smaller planted tanks, and it grows up to 7cm, so a 120L tank suits it well.
