📋 The Kieser Pleco (Hypostomus sp., L003) is a large-bodied pleco recognized for its dark brown base color with irregular pale spotting, which gives it a jewel-like, patterned appearance. Its robust build and ornamental markings make it a standout among larger pleco species.
Reaching 25–30 cm (10–12"), it requires a spacious aquarium with plenty of driftwood and rockwork for grazing and shelter. Like other Hypostomus, it is a powerful algae grazer that also benefits from supplemental foods.
