📋 The Sultan Pleco (Leporacanthicus joselimai, L264) is a striking medium-sized L-number pleco with a velvety black body, pale cream-colored spots, and distinctive white edging on the fins. Native to the Rio Tapajós in Brazil, it is one of the most sought-after Leporacanthicus species in the aquarium trade.

Reaching around 6–7 inches, the Sultan Pleco is peaceful toward most community fish but may be territorial with other plecos, especially of similar size. It thrives in well-oxygenated, warm aquariums with driftwood, rocky caves, and moderate flow. A balanced diet with sinking protein-rich foods and vegetables will keep this pleco in top condition.
