📋 Water Wisteria is one of the best-loved beginner plants, thanks to its beautiful lacy, deeply lobed bright-green leaves. It grows quickly into a lush, bushy group that fills the midground or background with soft texture and fresh colour, and it soaks up excess nutrients as it grows, helping keep algae in check. Its dense foliage also gives fish, fry and shrimp plenty of cover, making it perfect for community and breeding tanks.
It's wonderfully versatile and forgiving. Plant it in groups as a background bush, lay stems sideways to create a quick-growing green carpet, or let it float at the surface. It grows in low to high light without CO2, and under stronger light its leaves become even finer and more lace-like. A natural marsh plant, it also grows superbly above the water in paludariums.
It's a freshwater plant, suited to freshwater aquariums and paludariums.
