📋 Amazon Sword is the classic centrepiece plant of the aquarium world. Its long, broad, bright-green leaves grow from a central crown into a big, lush rosette that fills the background with life and gives any planted tank an instant feeling of a natural Amazon river. It's a perfect focal point for medium to large aquariums, and its leaves offer fish plenty of shade, cover and security.
It's hardy, forgiving and a true beginner's favourite. Plant it in a nutrient-rich substrate, add root tabs, and it grows steadily into an impressive specimen with only the odd old leaf to trim away. As it matures, it sends out runners with baby plantlets, so you can grow your own new swords.
It's a freshwater plant, suited to freshwater aquariums.
