📋 Bacopa Monnieri is a hardy, adaptable stem plant with small, thick, rounded leaves neatly arranged along sturdy upright stems. It's the compact cousin of Bacopa Caroliniana, with smaller leaves and a finer, tidier look that works beautifully in the foreground and midground. It's a natural fit for community tanks, shrimp tanks and nature-style aquascapes, and its neat green structure complements Cryptocoryne, Rotala and Ludwigia.
It's one of the easiest plants you can grow. Native to tropical wetlands across Asia, including Thailand, it handles a wide range of water conditions, grows in low to moderate light without CO2, and keeps its tidy shape with simple trimming. A natural marsh plant, it also grows superbly above the water in paludariums.
It's a freshwater plant, suited to freshwater aquariums and paludariums.
