📋 The Platinum Polar Parrot Fish is a clean, elegant parrot-type hybrid, with a smooth white-to-platinum body, translucent fins, and the parrot's charming rounded shape and beak-like mouth. Its colour is completely natural, not dyed, and it stays more compact than a classic Blood Parrot, at about 7.5-12.5cm. The colour can develop and shift a little as it matures.
Parrot cichlids are man-made hybrids, first developed in Taiwan in the 1980s, and they're famously interactive: they recognise their keeper, come to the glass to say hello, and beg for food. They're peaceful for a cichlid and happiest in a long, spacious tank with warm water, around 24-28°C. Small sinking pellets and softer foods suit their beak-shaped mouth best.
