📋 The Bennett's Butterflyfish, also known as the Bluelashed or Eclipse Butterflyfish, has a genuinely striking appearance — a bright yellow body with a large black spot bordered in blue below the dorsal fin, a wide black eye stripe edged in blue, and two curved blue lines above the belly.
Native to a genuinely vast range across the Indo-Pacific, from East Africa to the Pitcairn Islands, north to Japan, and south to Lord Howe Island, this species inhabits coastal lagoon and reef areas rich in stony coral at depths of 5 to 30 metres.
