📋 The Bermuda Blue Angelfish is one of the most striking large marine angelfish, with an adult blue-brown body accented by wide yellow fin margins and bright yellow pelvic fins. Juveniles look completely different, a dark blue body marked with vivid pale blue vertical stripes, gradually transforming into the adult pattern as they mature.
It comes from coastal reefs and rocky ledges across the Western Atlantic, from North Carolina down through Florida, the Gulf of Mexico, and Bermuda, typically found singly or in pairs, grazing on sponges, tunicates, and algae. Every Bermuda Blue Angelfish we ship is feeding well.
It's not reef safe; adults are bold nippers of both soft and stony corals as well as clam mantles, so it's best suited to a spacious fish-only or FOWLR aquarium rather than a coral display. It's territorial as it matures, best kept as the only angelfish in the tank, and housed with similarly robust, non-timid tankmates. With a very large tank and appropriate tankmates, it thrives as a bold electric-blue fish-only centrepiece. It reaches up to 45cm, so plan on at least 680L, and larger is strongly preferred for a full-grown adult.
