📋 The Blue Pinoy Angelfish belongs to the "Pinoy" family of angelfish strains, genuinely developed through selective breeding programs originating in the Philippines. This particular strain is genuinely prized for its vibrant steel-blue body and an iridescent sheen that catches the light differently depending on the angle it's viewed from.
Like other domesticated Pterophyllum scalare strains, this is a genuinely hardy, captive-bred fish that adapts well to community and planted aquariums, standing out especially well against green plant backdrops where its metallic sheen contrasts strongly.
This species forms genuine monogamous breeding pairs, and will readily spawn on vertical surfaces like broad leaves or aquarium glass when conditions are right.
