📋 The Dark Pinoy Angelfish belongs to the "Pinoy" family of angelfish strains, genuinely developed through selective breeding programs originating in the Philippines. This particular strain is genuinely distinguished by a deep black-to-blue body carrying a metallic, iridescent sheen, paired with long, elegant fins.
Like other domesticated Pterophyllum scalare strains, this is a genuinely hardy, captive-bred fish that adapts well to community and planted aquariums, with its dark coloration providing a genuine striking contrast against lighter substrates and backgrounds.
This species forms genuine monogamous breeding pairs, and will readily spawn on vertical surfaces like broad leaves or aquarium glass when conditions are right.
