📋 The Candy Hogfish, also known as the Twospot Candy Hogfish, Twinspot Hogfish, Two Spot Hogfish, Peppermint Hogfish, or Yellow Hogfish, has a genuinely elongated, slender body predominantly bright yellow with faint red horizontal stripes, distinguished by two black spots — one behind the eye and another near the tail.
Native to the Indo-Pacific, including the Maldives and Indonesia, this species genuinely inhabits coral-rich areas, reef flats, and outer reef slopes, seeking shelter in crevices and overhangs.
This is genuinely a very peaceful species that adjusts quickly to most aquariums, and we want to be honest that it can be genuinely slightly territorial toward its own kind, so multiple specimens should be introduced simultaneously. It's considered reef safe with caution — we want to be upfront that once fully grown and established, this species may genuinely take a liking to smaller ornamental shrimp introduced afterward. Its genuine diet consists mainly of meaty foods such as vitamin-enriched brine or mysis shrimp, alongside a high-quality marine flake food.
