📋 The Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse , also known as the Redfin Flasher Wrasse, has a genuinely soft orange-pink body etched with fine blue lines at rest — but males can rapidly transform, flaring their elongated dorsal and anal fins and intensifying into electric reds, blues, and yellows during their genuinely spectacular courtship "flashing" display.

Native to reef slopes and rubble zones across the Western Pacific, including the Philippines, this species is genuinely a constant, active mid-water swimmer, spending its day darting through open water above the rockwork.

A genuinely fascinating natural behaviour gives this species its name: males perform rapid, quick dashes through the water column, flaring their fins and intensifying in colour, particularly toward dusk, to attract females — a display genuinely considered one of the most breathtaking behaviours observable in a reef tank. It's fully reef safe and genuinely one of the more peaceful wrasses available, doing best kept as one male with several females, since ongoing gentle competition genuinely helps sustain the male's flashing behaviour. We want to be honest that it's a genuinely notorious jumper, so an absolutely secure, tight-fitting lid is essential.
