📋 Java Moss is the world's favourite aquarium moss, and one of the most useful plants you can own. Its soft, branching, bright-green strands grow into lush, dense mats that give your aquascape a natural, aged look. Attach it to driftwood, rocks, mesh or decor to create moss walls, carpets and moss-covered features, and it becomes a perfect shelter and grazing area for shrimp and fry in breeding tanks.
It's one of the hardiest plants there is. It grows in low to moderate light, needs no CO2, and thrives in a wide range of conditions while soaking up nutrients that algae would otherwise use. A gentle trim now and then keeps it neat, and the trimmings grow into new moss. Prefer it ready-made? It's also available grown onto Pterocarpus wood.
It's a freshwater plant, perfect for freshwater aquariums and also at home in paludariums.
