📋 The Banded Rainbowfish, also known as the Goyder River Rainbowfish, carries a deep, arched body painted with a bold dark band along each side and brilliant patches of red, yellow, orange and iridescent blue. Its colours shift as it turns in the light, and males glow brightest of all, making it one of the most spectacular rainbowfish in the hobby.
It comes from the clear streams and rivers of northern Australia. Every Banded Rainbowfish we ship is feeding well.
This is a fast, energetic, peaceful shoaling fish that sweeps through the middle and upper levels of the tank, and it looks its best in a group of six or more. Males put on dazzling displays to each other and to the females, deepening their colours as they mature. It loves warm water, thrives in a planted tank and grows up to 12cm, so a 200L tank suits it well.
