📋 The Threadfin Rainbowfish, also known as the Feather Fin Rainbowfish, is one of the most extraordinary small fish in the hobby. Males trail spectacular long, thread-like dorsal and anal fins edged in black and red, floating behind a shimmering silver-gold body that catches the light.
It comes from the swamps and slow streams of southern New Guinea and northern Australia. Every Threadfin Rainbowfish we ship is feeding well.
This is a small, peaceful shoaling fish that drifts gracefully through the middle and upper levels of the tank, and it looks its best in a group of six or more. Males spread their flowing fins in elegant displays, a beautiful sight in a calm planted tank. It grows up to 5cm, so a 60L tank suits it well.
