📋 Monte Carlo is the carpet plant that makes a green lawn achievable in almost any planted tank. Its small, rounded, bright-green leaves creep across the substrate on fine runners, knitting together into a soft, lush carpet that brings depth and freshness to the foreground. It's a favourite for Iwagumi layouts, nature aquascapes and nano tanks, and it looks beautiful flowing around stones and the base of driftwood.
It's far more forgiving than the ultra-fine carpets. Monte Carlo establishes quickly, copes well with a wide range of conditions, and grows with or without CO2, though CO2 and good light help it carpet faster and denser. Plant it in small portions, trim it as it thickens, and it rewards you with a full, even lawn.
It's a freshwater plant, suited to freshwater aquariums.
