🐠 Regal Angelfish (Pygoplites diacanthus)

📋 The Regal Angelfish, also known as the Royal Angelfish, has a striking appearance: alternating vertical bands of blue, white, and orange, edged in electric blue, with a yellow tail and a black-and-blue-spotted dorsal fin.
It comes from a wide range across the Indo-Pacific, from the Red Sea and East Africa to the Tuamotu Islands, New Caledonia, and northern Australia, inhabiting protected reef lagoons, bays, and outer reef slopes. Every Regal Angelfish we ship is feeding well, confirmed eating before it leaves us, and we favour captive-bred stock where available, already raised on prepared foods from the start.
It's not reef safe, and will pick at fleshy LPS corals, soft corals, and clam mantles, though it's generally safer around larger SPS colonies. It needs a large, mature tank with excellent water quality and plenty of live rock to graze on. It reaches up to 25cm, so plan on at least 400L.
