📋 Hornwort is one of the hardiest, fastest-growing aquarium plants there is. Its long stems are packed with dense whorls of fine, needle-like green leaves, creating a lush, bushy look that fills space quickly. As it grows, it soaks up excess nutrients, helping keep your water clean and clear and outcompeting nuisance algae. Its thick foliage makes perfect cover for fry, shrimp and shy fish, and it's a favourite for breeding tanks, goldfish tanks and ponds.
It's wonderfully flexible because it has no true roots: let it float freely at the surface, or anchor it loosely in the background, and it thrives either way. It needs no CO2, grows in low to moderate light, and copes with a wide range of temperatures, from tropical aquariums to garden ponds.
