Arowana are among the most striking freshwater fish in the hobby, and also among the most demanding. Every variety here reaches roughly 90cm, jumps readily, and lives for well over a decade, so they suit large tanks and long-term keepers. Our collection includes South American Silver and Black Arowana, the Australian Arowana, and nine Asian (Scleropages formosus) varieties. We're upfront about the difference: Asian Arowana are CITES Appendix I protected, and some countries, including the United States, prohibit owning them at all.

Our Arowana Collection:

Silver and Albino Silver Arowana are the most accessible dragonfish, with no CITES listing. Black Arowana starts jet-black and silvers with age, and the Australian Arowana is more territorial than either. Our Asian varieties range from the widespread Malaysian Green to the gold crossback lines (24K Golden, Golden Blue Base) and the red lineage of Super Red, Blood Red and Chili Red. Banjar Red is a more affordable red-toned strain that doesn't reach true Super Red colour, and we say so on its page. #FishShopPhuketThailand
