📋 The Super Red Arowana is genuinely the most prized variety of Asian Arowana, native to the upper Kapuas River and Lake Sentarum in West Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo. Adults develop deep, blood-red scales across the body, gill plates, and fins, genuinely maturing from orange-gold juveniles into intense ruby adults under warm lighting and a proper diet — a process that takes years. The Blood Red and Chili Red varieties we also carry are genuinely recognized sub-grades of this same lineage.
This is a genuinely large, long-lived apex predator, reaching up to 90cm, requiring a very large aquarium, a secure tight-fitting lid given this species' documented jumping behavior, and a genuine long-term commitment.
