🐟 Apollo Shark (Luciosoma spilopleura)
A Sleek Silver Torpedo With a Row of Black Spots • A Fast, Graceful Shoaling Fish • A Showpiece for the Large Tank
📋 The Apollo Shark, also known as the Spotted Apollo, carries a long, sleek, silver body like a torpedo, marked with a neat row of black spots along each side and a dark stripe through the tail. Fast, graceful and always on the move, it brings real energy to a large aquarium.
It comes from the rivers and streams of Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Malaysia, Sumatra and Borneo. Every Apollo Shark we ship is feeding well.
This is a fast, peaceful shoaling fish that cruises the middle and upper levels of the tank, and it looks its best in a group of five or more. It's an athletic swimmer that loves open space and gentle current, and a powerful jumper, so a tight-fitting lid is a must. It grows up to 25cm, so a 450L tank suits it well.
