📋 The Pinktail Triggerfish has a genuinely handsome emerald-to-olive-green body, with yellow accenting the face and pectoral fins, white dorsal and anal fins edged in black, and a genuinely striking bright pink tail that gives the species its name.
Native to a genuinely wide range across the Indo-Pacific, though its presence in the aquarium trade is genuinely somewhat infrequent, this species inhabits reef environments rich in caves and rockwork.
This is genuinely one of the more reef-tolerant triggerfish species, feeding largely on zooplankton in the wild, and typically ignoring stony and soft corals when well fed. We want to be honest that it will genuinely still eat ornamental shrimp, small crabs, small clams, and tubeworms, and larger specimens may pick at snails and hermit crabs too. It's genuinely a real personality fish, initially shy but becoming confident and even interactive over time. We want to share a genuinely fascinating documented behaviour: this species is known to spray water at the surface, so equipment placement matters, and its strong jaws mean it may chew through items in the tank. It should be the only trigger of its kind and the last fish introduced to a stocked aquarium.
