🐠 Blue Unicorn Tang (Naso brevirostris)

Marine Reef-Safe Large Grazing Tang • Genuine Juvenile-to-Adult Colour Transformation • Developing Nasal Horn • Advanced Marine Fish

📋 The Blue Unicorn Tang , also known as the Spotted Unicornfish or Short-Nose Unicorn Tang, undergoes a genuinely striking transformation as it matures — juveniles are silver with a circular body shape, gradually darkening into a beautiful black-and-blue adult colouration with a more elongated body, alongside a genuine "nasal bump" or horn that develops with age.

Native to a genuinely wide range across the Indo-Pacific, including Hawaii, this species inhabits reef drop-offs and lagoons, where it's genuinely a very active swimmer, constantly grazing amongst live rock.

It's fully reef safe and genuinely peaceful toward other species, though we want to be honest that it can be aggressive toward its own kind, so it's best kept as the only unicorn tang in the tank. Given its genuinely large adult size, a spacious tank with excellent filtration is essential, and a high-quality algae-based diet genuinely helps strengthen its immune system and reduce aggression.
