🐍 Green Wolf Eel (Congrogadus subducens)

📋 The Green Wolf Eel, also known as the Carpet Eel Blenny, Eared Eel Blenny, or Green Moray Eel, is not a true eel, moray, or blenny at all: it's a dottyback (family Pseudochromidae), with a long, eel-like body that gives it its many common names. It has a light green to brown body marked with small white spots, and it can look noticeably lighter depending on its surroundings or the time of day.
It's native to the Indo-Pacific, where it lives in rocky and coral reef areas, and it's the largest of the dottybacks, reaching up to 45cm. It's long-lived and well suited to an established home aquarium, and it readily accepts most meaty foods once settled. Every Green Wolf Eel we ship is feeding well.
It isn't reef safe: it's a natural burrower with a predatory diet that includes smaller fish and crustaceans. Give it a spacious tank (we recommend at least 285L) with plenty of rockwork to hide in, and a tight-fitting lid, since it's a capable escape artist.
