🐟 Indian Glass Tetra (Parambassis ranga)

A Genuinely Transparent Body Revealing Its Bones and Internal Organs • Natural, Unaltered Colouration, Never Dyed or Injected • A Striking, Unique Shoaling Species

📋 The Indian Glass Tetra, also known as the Indian Glassfish, has a genuinely transparent body, striking enough that its bone structure, spine, and internal organs are clearly visible, an appearance unlike almost anything else in the hobby. This is the natural, unaltered colouration of the species, never dyed or injected.

It comes from across South and Southeast Asia, including India, Myanmar, and Thailand, naturally inhabiting slow-moving rivers and streams. Every Indian Glass Tetra we ship is feeding well.

This is a true shoaling species, calm and a little shy, settling best in a group of 6-8 or more rather than alone. As a micro-predator in the wild, it does best on a protein-rich diet including live or frozen foods alongside flakes. It reaches up to 8cm, so a 90L tank suits a school well.
