For Marine Aquariums

Lionfish and scorpionfish are among the most dramatic fish in the marine hobby: fan-like fins, masterful camouflage, and the patience of a true ambush predator. At #Fisheee Aquarium Store Phuket Thailand, every listing gives honest guidance on size, feeding, tankmates, and safe handling, so you can choose a fish that suits your aquarium and keep it for years.

Our Lionfish & Scorpionfish Collection

Our six lionfish include the iconic Volitans, the compact Zebra Turkeyfish, and the dwarf Fu Manchu, Fuzzy Dwarf, Antennata, and Radiata. For camouflage fans, there are the leaf-mimicking Leaf and Red Leaf Scorpionfish, the rock-like Humpbacked and Yellowfin, the leafy Ambon, the Yellow Spotted, and the sail-finned Cockatoo Waspfish. At the top end sits the Reef Stonefish, the most venomous fish known and a species for expert keepers only. #FishShopPhuketThailand

Care tips:

  • Venom: all lionfish, scorpionfish, and stonefish have venomous spines, so use long tools, keep hands out of the tank, and use a container and not a net

  • First aid: for a sting, immerse the area in hot water (about 45°C) and seek medical attention; for a stonefish sting, call emergency services immediately

  • Tankmates: these are ambush predators that eat anything they can swallow, so choose tankmates comfortably too large to be eaten

  • Feeding: many start on live saltwater feeders and can be trained onto frozen foods, fed every few days

  • Regulations: rules on keeping lionfish vary by region, and Florida bans live Pterois imports; never release a lionfish into open water"
