📋 The Yellow Spotted Scorpionfish, also known as the Coral Scorpionfish, Yellowspotted Scorpionfish, or Pink and Yellow Scorpionfish, has a genuinely mottled reddish-brown-to-pink body accented with yellow patches and pearly-to-light-blue spots, a distinctive combination reflected in its scientific name, which genuinely translates to "blue spot."
Native to the Indo-Pacific, this species genuinely occurs on reefs at depths of 2 to 30 metres, and is genuinely only occasional in the aquarium trade.
This is genuinely a voracious, secretive ambush predator, remaining highly camouflaged and stationary while waiting for prey to pass by. We want to be honest that new specimens can genuinely be difficult to feed at first, sometimes requiring live foods such as glass or grass shrimp, small crabs, or feeder fish to establish a feeding response. It's considered reef safe with caution — this species genuinely won't harm corals or polyps, but will eat ornamental shrimp, crabs, and any fish small enough to fit in its mouth, so tank mates should genuinely be chosen with real care.
