📋 Butterfly Koi, also known as Longfin Koi or Hirenaga, carry long, flowing fins and tails that trail behind them like silk as they swim, giving them an elegant, dreamlike grace. Our assorted grade selection brings a beautiful mix of colours and patterns, from bright orange and pure white to bold reds, blacks and metallics, so every fish is unique.
It's a captive-bred ornamental koi, created by crossing koi with long-finned carp. Every Assorted Grade Butterfly Koi we ship is feeding well.
This is a peaceful, sociable pond fish that glides gracefully through the water, its fins growing longer and more spectacular as it matures. It quickly learns to come to the surface to feed from your hand, and grows up to 90cm, plus its flowing fins, so a pond of 4,000L or more suits it well.
