🐟 Hirenaga Butterfly Koi (Cyprinus rubrofuscus)
Selected Named-Variety Patterns • Long, Flowing Butterfly Fins • The Elegance of Classic Koi With Silken Grace

📋 The Hirenaga Butterfly Koi, from the Japanese "hirenaga" meaning "long fins", combines the classic patterns of named koi varieties with long, flowing fins and tails that trail like silk. Each one is selected for its pattern and fin quality, bringing the look of a Kohaku, Showa, Ogon or other classic variety together with butterfly grace.
It's a captive-bred ornamental koi, created by crossing koi with long-finned carp. Every Hirenaga Butterfly Koi we ship is feeding well.
This is a peaceful, sociable pond fish that glides gracefully through the water, its fins growing longer and more spectacular as it matures. It quickly learns to come to the surface to feed from your hand, and grows up to 90cm, plus its flowing fins, so a pond of 4,000L or more suits it well.
