🐟 Taisho Sanke Koi (Cyprinus rubrofuscus)
A Snow-White Body With Crimson Red and Black Accents • A Crisp, Balanced Tri-Colour Pattern • One of the Legendary Big Three Koi

📋 The Taisho Sanke Koi, often just called Sanke, carries a pure snow-white body painted with bold crimson-red patterns and scattered with small, inky black spots across the back. Its crisp, balanced tri-colour look makes it one of the "Gosanke", the big three classic koi varieties, alongside the Kohaku and Showa.
It's a captive-bred ornamental koi, developed in Japan during the Taisho era. Every Taisho Sanke Koi we ship is feeding well.
This is a peaceful, sociable pond fish that glides gracefully through the water, its three colours glowing against each other as it turns, and it quickly learns to come to the surface to feed from your hand. It's long-lived, hardy and grows into a true pond centrepiece, reaching up to 90cm, so a pond of 4,000L or more suits it well.
