🐟 Koromo Koi (Cyprinus rubrofuscus)

Red Patterns Edged in Deep Blue Lace • A White Body Draped in a Delicate Robe • An Elegant, Refined Pond Showpiece

📋 The Koromo Koi, from the Japanese for "robed", carries a white body with red patterns where each red scale is finely edged in deep blue, like delicate lace draped over the fish. The most popular form is the Ai Goromo, and its refined, elegant look grows richer and more striking as the fish matures.

It's a captive-bred ornamental koi, developed in Japan by crossing Kohaku and Asagi koi. Every Koromo Koi we ship is feeding well.

This is a peaceful, sociable pond fish that glides gracefully through the water, and it quickly learns to come to the surface to feed from your hand. It's long-lived, hardy and grows into a true pond centrepiece, reaching up to 90cm, so a pond of 4,000L or more suits it well.
