🐟 Goshiki Koi (Cyprinus rubrofuscus)
Five Colours Blended in One Fish • Bold Red Over a Blue-Black Net Pattern • A Rich, Dramatic Pond Showpiece
📋 The Goshiki Koi gets its name from the Japanese for "five colours", blending red, white, black, blue and grey into one striking fish. Bold red patches sit over a base of white scales netted in blue-black, giving it a deep, dramatic look that grows richer as the fish matures.
It's a captive-bred ornamental koi, developed in Japan by crossing Kohaku and Asagi koi. Every Goshiki Koi we ship is feeding well.
This is a peaceful, sociable pond fish that glides gracefully through the water, and it quickly learns to come to the surface to feed from your hand. It's long-lived, hardy and grows into a true pond centrepiece, reaching up to 90cm, so a pond of 4,000L or more suits it well.
