It's a captive-bred ornamental koi, developed in Japan from the Amur carp. Every Assorted Grade Koi we ship is feeding well.
This is a peaceful, sociable pond fish that glides gracefully through the water and quickly learns to come to the surface to feed from your hand. It's long-lived, hardy and grows into a true pond centrepiece, reaching up to 90cm, so a pond of 4,000L or more suits it well.
