⚠️ Important Information — Please Read First

We want to be genuinely upfront on this one. Colin's Angelfish is collected from deep reef zones, and wild-caught specimens are well documented as genuinely difficult to acclimate to captivity, often arriving with a poor appetite and requiring real patience to start feeding reliably. It's also a naturally secretive, delicate fish that needs a quiet location and non-aggressive tank mates to feel safe enough to come out and eat. On the positive side, captive-bred stock — when available — is notably hardier, already adapted to prepared aquarium foods, and a meaningfully lower-risk choice than wild-collected specimens. If you're considering this species, please ask us about the origin and feeding history of the specific specimen before purchasing.

📋 The Colin's Angelfish (Centropyge colini), also known as the Cocos-Keeling Angelfish or Blue-Backed Angelfish, is a genuinely delicate and beautiful dwarf angelfish with a soft golden-yellow body and a striking indigo-blue dorsal patch that gives it a distinctive "mohawk" look.

Native to deep reef zones across the Indo-West Pacific, including the Cocos-Keeling Islands, Fiji, Palau, and the Marshall Islands, this species is genuinely rare in the trade and prized by dedicated collectors.
