📋 The Court Jester Goby, also known as Rainford's Goby or the Old Glory Goby, has a colourful body in green and blue, with horizontal orange stripes running its length and a row of white spots along the upper back.
It comes from a wide range across the Western Pacific, from the Philippines to the southern Great Barrier Reef and Fiji, a timid, peaceful species that does best in a well-established tank with plenty of live rock and sand to graze. Every Court Jester Goby we ship is feeding well, settled onto a mix of natural grazing and supplemental foods before it leaves us.
It's fully reef safe, and a valuable grazer, documented eating hair algae and even red cyanobacteria. It's best kept singly, or as a known pair in a large tank with abundant hiding places. It's also an expert jumper, so a tight-fitting lid is essential. It reaches up to 8.5cm, so a 40L tank suits it well, with a well-established system essential for natural grazing opportunities.
