🐠 Sharknose Goby (Elacatinus evelynae)

Marine Reef-Safe Nano Cleaner Goby • Sleek Black Body With a Golden-Yellow Head Stripe Transitioning to Electric Blue • Genuine Documented Cleaner Fish • Beginner-Friendly Marine Fish

📋 The Sharknose Goby, also known as the Caribbean Cleaner Goby, has a genuinely striking sleek black body with a pale belly and a brilliant stripe that begins yellow across the head and transitions into electric blue along the body.

Native to the Western Atlantic and Caribbean, from the Bahamas and Lesser Antilles to the northern coast of South America, this species inhabits coral reef environments, often found on coral heads, particularly brain corals.

This species genuinely establishes real cleaning stations on the reef, where larger fish visit to have ectoparasites and dead skin removed — a genuine documented behaviour this species will also display in a home aquarium, though we want to be honest that it should still be provided with a complete diet rather than relying solely on tank mates for food. It's genuinely one of the more popular "cleaner gobies" and a real hardy, easy-care choice for beginners. It's fully reef safe, though we want to be upfront that it's genuinely territorial toward others of its own kind, so it's best kept singly or as a genuine confirmed pair.
