📋 The Leopard Blenny, also known as the Honeycomb Blenny or Pink Spotted Blenny, has a striking appearance, a stocky white body covered in reddish-brown spots, with males typically showing more red colouration and a reddish dorsal and caudal fin.
It comes from coral reef crevices across the Indo-Pacific, from the Red Sea to Hawaii, living among branching corals like Acropora and Porites, feeding directly from live coral tissue and leaving characteristic white feeding scars. Every Leopard Blenny we ship is feeding well.
We maintain every specimen on an ongoing supply of live coral while in our care, since in the wild this species feeds almost exclusively on live stony coral polyps, and we only recommend it to keepers with real hands-on experience feeding this exact species and the infrastructure to sustain a dedicated coral food source long term. We favour specimens we've already settled onto a partial rotation of finely chopped meaty foods alongside their coral diet where possible, though individual results vary. It's not reef safe for exactly this reason, it will actively consume coral tissue, making it incompatible with any reef display you wish to keep intact. It's rare in the trade given its extreme dietary specialisation. It reaches up to 14.5cm, so a 210L tank with an ongoing live coral food source suits it well.
