📋 The Molly Miller Blenny, also known as the Combtooth Blenny, has an understated but charming look, a mottled body in shades of brown, tan, and black, short hair-like cirri across the head, and large, expressive eyes.
It's one of the most widely distributed blennies in the hobby, found in shallow reefs and intertidal zones across the Western Atlantic, Caribbean, Eastern Atlantic, and even parts of the Northwest Pacific around Japan and Taiwan. Every Molly Miller Blenny we ship is feeding well, and we confirm the exact species before it leaves us, since several closely related blennies are commonly mislabelled and sold under this name elsewhere.
Beyond its algae-grazing habits, this species has earned a real reputation as a natural Aiptasia deterrent, with specimens often reducing or eliminating small Aiptasia anemone populations over time, though the extent of this effect can vary and isn't guaranteed. This is a hardy, adaptable fish, best suited to an already mature tank with established algae growth, and best kept singly, as it can be territorial toward similarly shaped blennies. It reaches up to 10cm, so a 115L tank suits it well.
