⚠️ Important Information — Please Read First

We want to be genuinely upfront on this one. This species genuinely grows very large — up to around 90cm (35") — and is genuinely not suitable for most typical home aquariums. It's a true predator and will eat any fish or crustacean small enough to fit in its mouth, and produces genuinely significant waste, requiring strong filtration and excellent water quality. Please speak with our team about long-term housing before purchasing.

📋 The Blue & Yellow Grouper , also known as the Coral Cod, has a genuinely striking solid blue body with vibrant yellow fins as a juvenile — though we want to be honest that this vivid yellow genuinely fades with age, gradually shifting toward grey-black in mature adults.

Native to the Indian Ocean, including the eastern coast of Africa, this species is genuinely found among shallow reef coral as a juvenile, moving to deeper water as it matures.

We want to be upfront: this species is not reef safe, and while it won't bother corals directly, it will consume clean-up crew invertebrates and any fish it can fit in its mouth, making it best suited to a fish-only system.
