⚠️ Important Information — Please Read First

We want to be genuinely upfront on this one. This species is a true predator and will genuinely eat any fish or crustacean small enough to fit in its mouth, including tank mates. It also produces genuinely significant waste, requiring strong filtration and excellent water quality. It's best kept as the only grouper in the tank, alongside other robust, similarly assertive species such as triggerfish, eels, or large angelfish — never with small or peaceful tank mates.

📋 The Blue Line Grouper , also known as the Boenacki Grouper or Blue-Lined Hind, has a genuinely eye-catching light red-to-brown body marked with multiple thin, vertical blue lines, with fins genuinely highlighted in darker blue.

Native to a genuinely wide range across the Indo-Pacific, this species dwells in and around coral reefs and rocky areas, where it's genuinely secretive by nature, hiding among caves and crevices until food is presented.

This is genuinely a hardy fish once established, with a naturally low metabolism that means it needs feeding only every other day. We want to be honest: it's not reef safe, and while it won't harm corals directly, it will consume any fish or crustacean it can fit in its mouth.
