🐠 Longfin Dottyback (Manonichthys polynemus)

📋 The Longfin Dottyback is an uncommon member of the dottyback family, set apart from its more familiar relatives by its elongated fins and a restricted natural range.
It comes from a narrow stretch of the Western Pacific, including northern Sulawesi in Indonesia, the southern Philippines, and Palau, where it lives on steep outer reef slopes and in dense coral growth, and it's even been recorded living inside the body cavities of large sponges. Every Longfin Dottyback we ship is feeding well.
It's naturally a solitary species, and it settles in best kept singly in a home aquarium too. It's reef safe with caution: it won't harm coral tissue, but it will compete with other zooplankton feeders for food and may be territorial toward similarly shaped tankmates. It reaches up to 12cm, so plan on at least 150L.
