We want to be genuinely upfront that this species, like other Neoglyphidodon damsels, genuinely becomes increasingly territorial and can be quite aggressive with age. It's best added later in your stocking order, once more docile fish are already established.
 
📋 The Blue Velvet Damsel undergoes a genuinely dramatic transformation as it matures — juveniles show a mostly black body with vivid electric-blue stripes and a yellow-white "belt," while adults lose most of this blue and white colouration, becoming primarily black.
Native to a genuinely wide range across the Indo-Pacific, this species inhabits coral reef environments alongside other damselfish and clownfish relatives within the Pomacentridae family.
It's fully reef safe and genuinely not a picky eater, readily accepting flakes, pellets, and a varied mix of algae and meaty foods. This is a genuinely hardy, easy-to-keep species overall, though its temperament can range from peaceful when young to genuinely quite territorial as an adult.
