The Similar Damsel has an understated blue-to-grey body with subtle darker markings, typical of the broader Pomacentrus genus. It comes from the Indian Ocean, known specifically from Sri Lanka and the Andaman Sea, making it a somewhat geographically restricted damselfish. Every Similar Damsel we ship is feeding well.
This is a hardy, easy-to-care-for species best kept in small odd-numbered groups in a suitably sized system with numerous hiding places. It can be confrontational toward tankmates, and like most damsels, becomes very difficult to catch once established without removing rock from the tank. It's fully reef safe toward corals and invertebrates. It reaches up to 7cm, so a 115L tank suits it well.
