📋 The Lemon Damsel, also known as the Yellow Damsel, has a vivid, uniform lemon-yellow body and fins, with juveniles sometimes showing a slightly darker hue and faint blue lines across the face.
It comes from a wide range across the Indo-West Pacific, inhabiting warm, shallow, coral-rich reef environments with plenty of hiding spots and moderate water flow. Every Lemon Damsel we ship is feeding well.
A popular choice as a "starter fish" for newly established aquariums, this species is hardy, mild-mannered, and lacks much of the obnoxious territoriality seen in many other damsel species. It's fully reef safe, and actively forages through crevices searching for food. While calmer than most damsels, it can still become territorial as it matures, particularly in smaller tanks, so it's best kept in a small group of similarly sized individuals introduced together, or as a confirmed pair. It reaches up to 8cm, so a 75L tank suits it well.
